The short answer

YouLend is a London lender that funds small businesses inside the platforms they already sell through or take payments on. Its homepage, read on 9 September 2026, advertises merchant financing of up to £2,000,000, repaid as a small percentage of each sale, with approval and funds in as little as 24 hours. It sits on our panel.

Most UK owners meet it under another name. The cash advance inside Amazon, eBay, Just Eat, Dojo, Teya and Worldline is YouLend paper, and the company says it has funded more than 370,000 businesses since it started in 2016.

What we can place with YouLend

YouLend sits on our panel with 1 live product across 1 category. This is what we hold, not what they advertise.

CategoryProductsSizeTerm
unsecured business loans1£3,000 to £1m6 months to 18 months

Spans across YouLend products on our panel, checked September 2026, and set out for the whole panel in The UK SME Lending Panel 2026. Shown per category, because one range across different product types would describe something no business can actually have. These are not offers, quotes or rates you will be given, and a dash means we hold no published figure for that field. All lending is subject to status and the lender's own checks. Naming a lender is a fact about our panel: it is not an endorsement of CapExpand by YouLend, and implies no affiliation. Panel composition changes.

Who YouLend are

The UK trading entity is YouLend Limited, company 12576377, incorporated on 28 April 2020 and registered at 90 High Holborn in London. It acts as agent for a set of lending subsidiaries; the group accounts to 31 March 2025 list them as YL I, YL III, YL IV, YL V, YL VI and YL VII Limited, and one of those names appears on the agreement a merchant signs. A new holding company, YouLend Holding Limited (17166524), was incorporated on 19 April 2026.

The ultimate controlling party is EQT, the Swedish private equity group, through BC Midco Pte. Ltd in Singapore, which also controls Banking Circle. Those same accounts, filed in December 2025, show revenue of £171.5 million for the year to 31 March 2025 and a profit of £8.8 million. YouLend's release of 8 January 2026 put the year at roughly $230 million of revenue and $12 million of profit, and counted 370,000 businesses funded.

YouLend Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a payment institution under the Payment Services Regulations 2017, firm reference number 947287, granted on 29 June 2023. The entry can be read at register.fca.org.uk.

What YouLend lends

One product, sold through many doors. A business receives a lump sum and repays it from a percentage of its sales, so the amount collected rises in a busy week and falls in a quiet one. The homepage ceiling is £2,000,000. Partner channels publish their own limits: eBay's Seller Capital help page puts financing at up to £1 million, with funds one to two business days after approval.

Repayment runs through a settlement account. YouLend's FAQ describes a payment account it controls that receives money from the merchant's card or sales processor for the purpose of repaying the financing, and its payment account terms were last updated on 30 September 2025. In practice the processor sends the agreed share of each settlement to that account and the rest to the business as normal.

The 2026 additions are on its blog. Teya and Worldline cash advances went live in January 2026, an Amazon Flexible Financing Line launched for UK sellers, and on 3 March 2026 YouLend announced a forward-flow facility with Värde Partners for up to $225 million of US receivables.

Who it lends to

YouLend's published criteria are short. It funds businesses that sell or take payments through one of its partners, or that apply on youlend.com, and it decides from payment data rather than a business plan. Its FAQ says it uses Open Banking to read that data; a merchant connects the business bank account and the underwriting reads the transactions directly.

The homepage claim is that YouLend approves nine applicants in every ten. It lists ten or more countries as live, including the UK, the United States, Germany, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, France and Denmark. A business whose income arrives mainly by invoice or bank transfer has less for the product to collect from, since repayment is taken from sales.

How an application runs

Inside a partner, the offer usually appears in the dashboard once the platform's sales history qualifies, pre-assessed from data the platform already holds. On youlend.com, a business applies directly. Either way the steps are the same four: confirm the business and its owners, connect the bank account through Open Banking, choose from the offers presented, and sign electronically.

The processor is then set up to send the agreed percentage of each sale to the YouLend settlement account, and funds are released. YouLend's own timing claim, on 9 September 2026, is approval in as little as 24 hours and funds in as little as 24 hours; eBay's channel says one to two business days after approval. Repayment carries on automatically until the agreed amount has been collected, with no fixed monthly instalment and no set end date.

Our panel and YouLend

Our panel catalogue, captured September 2026, holds 1 live YouLend product in the unsecured category, sized £3,000 to £1m over 6 months to 18 months. Those figures are ours, taken from what we can place, and they sit alongside the £2,000,000 ceiling YouLend advertises directly. The table above sets them out per category.

A YouLend enquiry through us is checked against the rest of the merchant cash advance lenders on the panel at the same time, and the business chooses between the offers that come back. We arrange; YouLend decides. Naming YouLend here is a fact about our panel, not an endorsement of CapExpand by YouLend, and it implies no affiliation.

Who YouLend suits

A good fit if

  • Businesses that sell or take payments through Amazon, eBay, Just Eat, Dojo, Teya or Worldline
  • Card or online sales steady enough to repay from a percentage of each transaction
  • Owners who want a decision made from Open Banking data rather than a business plan
  • Funding needs anywhere up to the published £2,000,000 ceiling

Outside its published criteria

  • Businesses paid mainly by invoice or bank transfer, since repayment is collected from sales
  • Anyone who wants a fixed monthly instalment over a set term
  • Businesses outside the countries YouLend lists as live

In short

YouLend is the largest embedded merchant financier operating in the UK, with 370,000 businesses funded by January 2026, a £2,000,000 published ceiling and a product that repays from sales rather than by instalment. It is authorised as a payment institution under FRN 947287, its lending is written through YL-numbered subsidiaries of YouLend Limited, and it reaches most customers through Amazon, eBay, Just Eat, Dojo, Teya and Worldline rather than under its own name.

YouLend Limited acts as agent for a set of lending subsidiaries, and the group accounts to 31 March 2025 list them as YL I, YL III, YL IV, YL V, YL VI and YL VII Limited. One of those names is the contracting party on the agreement a merchant signs, so a repayment collected from card or platform sales can show against YouLend Limited or the YL-numbered company named on the agreement. The name printed on the agreement is the one to check.
YouLend’s homepage, read on 9 September 2026, advertises merchant financing of up to £2,000,000. Partner channels carry their own limits: eBay’s Seller Capital help page says up to £1 million, with funds one to two business days after approval. The amount offered to any one business is set from its sales data at application, so the top of the range needs the volume behind it.
From sales, automatically. The business’s card or sales processor sends an agreed percentage of each settlement to a YouLend payment account, described in its FAQ and governed by payment account terms last updated on 30 September 2025, and the remainder reaches the business as usual. There is no fixed monthly instalment and no set end date; collection continues until the agreed amount is complete.
